Any stock under two dollars is what I view as a penny stock. When I consider stocks to buy, I search for a business that is relatively new. Some shares of well established businesses are cheap due to problems that the company has experienced.
So how do you pick the stocks to put money into? Is the industry growing?. Is the competition too large for a new business to have success?
Of course you need to analyze the actual business.
You should also have a peek at the financial statements of the business, but don’t automatically get worried if you discover that the business has negative earnings.
